In this role she organized and co-ordinated all the pool programmes for both the College and the public sessions. From 1994 Wendy had her own Development squad of swimmers at Kelly college and in 1996 was also the Head coach of the local Tavistock Swimming Club and the assistant coach for the main Kelly college squad. Many of the swimmers from these squads have gone on to win the highest honours including Olympic medals. After over 12 years at Kelly college, Wendy realized that she was in demand as a tutor throughout the country and decided to leave Kelly College to start Dalton Training.

All First Aid at Work and Paediatric First Aid qualifications, as well as the National Rescue award for Teachers and Coaches. As a Mentor I help probationary NPLQ Trainers and assessors to achieve their full TA accreditation. I am also an ASA Coach. As a volunteer for the Society I Tutor Life Saving Assistant Instructors, Life Saving Instructors Rookie instructors, and Community Instructors, this covers all ages from 14 years upwards. Within the Community I conduct sessions for Life Support and AED instruction, and instruct Local school children in life support and water safety. After receiving many awards and Life Membership from the RLSS, the highlight of my time with the Society was In 2016 when I was nominated for a special award to be given to 125 volunteers within the Commonwealth to celebrate the Society’s 125th year anniversary. The insignia was presented by Prince Michael of Kent who is the President of the Commonwealth Division. The day culminated with a Champagne Reception at Buckingham Palace where I had the great honour of being presented to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth and the Duke of Edinburgh.
